Annadato Sukhibhava



Since the period of vedas food has been given importance in Indian diet. Called as "anna" food has been referred as "Anna Brahma" "Anna Poorna" since ancient times.

Cutting short to the present scenario India is recognized overseas as the country with abundant talent & a country with huge potential. Silently we are also on way to form 20% of the total world population being Indian. A promising country with growing population is seriously nobody's concern when they can self-sustain to form a force to recon with.

Fiction ends here! Reality check - Out of 132 Crore Indians roughly 20 crore of them do not have their food/meals daily. In more simple words, out of every 100 people - 15 of them do not get food daily. Who are these people? Why are they getting not food?  Doesn't it surprise us that, for some people having full meal itself maybe their definition of happiness!!

I am not writing this to discuss and find a solution for these people. 

But I will not stop without saying this - please take out a time from your week/month, cook food at your place and put it in multiple boxes (which we all have, thanks to swiggy) or pack food in multiple boxes from your favorite restaurant eatery and head out. In a city like Bangalore I am sure you will side many homeless men, women, children on streets -  give food these needy people - THEY DESERVE IT. While receiving from you, notice the smile on their face - it will be so pure. If you have children at your home - taken them along. I am sure the person who received food from you will bless you after eating "annadato sukibhava". It means "Let the one who provided me food be happy"

Thought Bites

In our day to day life we all are fulfilling certain goals & serving different purposes in our lives. Each one of us have a unique goal/purpose of working in a particular job or we have chosen a business opportunity basis our skills & intuition.  No matter we are on a job or our doing own business – we all notice sometimes a day goes so fast and we have still lot pending work to be done. The reason for pending work may be as unique as each one of us. Sometimes this leads to missed deadlines, targets and spill over of the work on your home life. Hence it is always better if we start our day 10 minutes early & plan for the day. 

A key to set tune for a good day, a highly productive day for any individual is to have it planned and organized. Organizing yourself, your work & your home should be your habit. If it is not your habit – it is time to change now - our habitual errors, ignorance are the ones which have always caused discomfort in work, ill health, stale mind.
A proper working day can be started with making a Checklist for the day. When I say checklist I mean – to jot down the things you want to do or you have to do. I’m sure we know what is the difference between things “we want to do” & “we have to do”. You want to do - is how you want do certain things with your way. Ex- you need to reach a particular milestone of a project today and go ahead for next step. You have to do you – is most of the times things or events which carry deadline which is already set. Ex: - your supervisor has communicated to you to complete a particular milestone of project by EOD!!

People who value time more or certain people who like a well-planned & controlled day prefer to have 4 checklists 1 – Morning
                2 – After noon
                3 – Evening
                4 – Before leaving for home (if you tend to work late hours)

There are possibilities that we may not be able to finish all those activities jotted down on the list today. In these scenarios the left over activities need to be carried forward for the next day – until it is relevant & it is complete!

Though having a checklist for a proper working-day is a must and recommended for every working professional and businessmen. It also holds good for your works pending to be done during weekend. Also another point of importance here is not trying to be a control freak – if things doesn’t get over today start your day early tomorrow than you started today & try to finish it. If you become a control freak – then chances of you ending in stress is high, more higher will be the strains on your relationships no matter whether you are single or married. So you need to learn over period of time when & where to draw the line!

The sole reason why this checklist activity is recommended at beginning of the day is to have a more organized day with proper planning – which can give give you more space for your yourself if you keep doing it regularly and perfectly. Once you get used to you it – over a period of time you will find yourself finishing majority of your work with more focus as you end up managing your time properly. Most of the successful people always focus 100% on their day-to-day activitiesYou too can be among those people!!
